Been editing a lot this past week, and so I haven't had many shoots on. Hence the lax updates.
Sometimes it's good to be able to go through my recent shoots and reflect on what's good and what needs work. On friday I was editing Wrestling Girls. I wish I'd of spent some more time on shooting the little details rather than focusing so much on the action, the more personal shots (like this one of Fotina below) are among the best shots in the set.
Fear not, I'm pretty sure I have a few shoots on this week coming!

Saturday night I shot The Presets for lighting company
Matt's Party Hire. I hadn't actually seen The Presets play anything other than a festival before so it was really interesting to see a local band on the same stage that I saw The Arcade Fire on a month or so back. Thanks to their antics I was able to capture a really great show.

Ha ha... it had to be said.
Angie and Chloe B had been pretty eager to make this shoot happen, so I knew to expect good things. Lucky too, that I didn't need to direct the models much because the location, though picturesque was a complete bitch!
Just out of shot were three pissed off horses determined to get the hay, we had to stop the shoot about 5 times so the assistant could shoo them away, and then one took a huge poop right nearby. Very unromantic. It was also freezing, and the light kept changing. The models didn't care though, they were so into each other. For me though, I was really glad when we finally finished up.

This model's beauty just floored me when I first saw her, and I was thrilled I got the chance to shoot her before she headed back of overseas.

Been shooting a few of these recently, here is a particularly heated one from Thursday staring Fotina & Kiki...
You might have noticed my updates have been kinda infrequent recently, my internet is still buggered, I'm trying to get them done as often as possible.
But fear not! My lovely coff coff telco is on the task and is working feverishly on the problem!

Melbourne is having some really amazing foggy mornings. It's very eery early in the morning going to work and only being able to see about fifty meters in front of you. Having cars driving out of the fog, headlights blazing. Creepy stuff, I'm there! So figured I would do a shoot in it.
I had Carly booked this morning and I called her yesterday to check if she would have any aversions to being out in the freezing weather for half an hour or so. She's a tough little thing, and was up for it. We got in at about 8am, hurriedly packed the car and headed off in search of a foggy spot. But the fog was clearing fast, and I was getting frustrated that I couldn't get it thick enough. So we ended up bailing and heading to a (kinda) secret spot where we may not get actual fog, but we'd get a view of it.
Carly was so great to work with, she didn't complain once and put in such a great effort that we did the shoot in about 15 mins.
