I have had a pretty busy week, a bunch of solo shoots and this weekend I'm doing some press shots for Muscles. Which will be pretty fun and a nice change from the regular tits and ass.
I haven't copied much of my stuff to bring home to post except this shot of Melissa R. She was great, very quiet but once you turned the camera on her she became someone else.
I'm quite pleased most people prefer opening up to the camera and not me. I don't think I could handle my job if everyone's sexual energy was directed at me.

I wanted to be many things growing up... a zoologist, visual effects artist, bird. Sometimes I toyed with the idea of taking photos, but if anyone had of ever told me that I would be shooting 6 naked girls, survivor style, building a raft out of wood and rope and then sailing it across a dam, I would have called bullshit ("bulldust" actually, I never swore back then). Moments like this seem to happen often in my job.
We shot this epic last friday. All 3 Abbywinters photographers were on board for this one, so I can't claim all the credit, but below is one of my more interesting shots.

Seriously, if there isn't a blog dedicated to this there should be. I find the whole idea really played out, but its hard to resist the temptation when you have a hot model in one corner and a costume animal head in the other. Today among other things I dug up this shoot of Kathryn, Considering i shot it nearly 2 years ago I think its a pretty good effort. I was reminded of it from a link from
ffffound. The elephant head is from an old show called Johnson and Friends. Poor Johnson, here he is in happier times...
And here is his head now...

Last night i got lost on the internet and among the tangles made a couple of new discoveries... The site
Synthetic Pubes which has a lot of really beautiful images of naked girls collected far and wide. Its really well designed too, an seems to share my initial concerns of starting a site that puts
more porn on the internet.
I'm a big fan of a site called
ffffound and a friend emailed me the other day with
this link which is an image from a shoot I did of a model named Kathryn, nearly 2 years ago... Its always interesting tracing your work around the internet.

Most people I hear from who are familiar with Abbywinters have a favorite model. Maddy is a popular choice.
I shot this shoot with her a while ago, but I was going through the archives on friday and found this shoot and figured i'd put a couple of shots up...

I shot what we loosely called "Fridge Girls" today, It was actually Cleo and Keilyn's girl/girl shoot. The whole fridge thing was an idea i had a long time ago that was actually kinda tricky to pull off.
Now its done, i feel really good about it, almost like i can move forward or something weird like that. I don't know where I intend to move forward to, but at least i hope i wont have to be cutting the backs out of fridges again any time soon.
Im really happy with the results, everything went to plan (except that Cleo actually hates milk).

I edited this set just the other day, I think its certainly some of my better work. I realized that I didn't post any close ups on my blog, so here are another two shots of Christen looking stunning, shot with the divine 85mm lens at f1.2.

This week I took a day off shooting young ladies to accompany my partner on a trip up to Sydney. I hadn't been to Sydney in about three years and I really enjoyed the different pace, old friends (and the getting back to melbourne part).
While I was there, I was lucky enough to meet up with the talented
Daniel Boud, who was lovely and great to finally get to meet face to face.
I also attended the Patty Smith after party at the Opera House, which was just a little bit surreal, as the view looked out onto the Harbor Bridge, Sydney certainly likes too impress. I was impressed, nice work Sydney. Bummer I didn't have my camera.
Also, I bought a great pair of vintage silver heels.
Last week we had a bit of a run of Girl on Girl stuff, We have shot Cleo in so many girl girl shoots that I'm really stretching trying to come up with new ways to shoot her. She is so pretty and in this shoot with Zora, I went heavy with face shots (though she does kinda have the same expression in these two shots, sorry).

Spring time is really putting me in a good mood.
Here is a shoot of Jenny-Lee shot a few days ago, surrounded by cherry blossoms.
